This No Man's Land Film Festival event supports young adults exploring and learning about the outdoors and everything it offers. Specifically, this event will be supporting our female members and feminist allies. Outdoor Adventure Club, Ski and Snowboard Club, and Mountain Biking Club of SUNY Oneonta hope to promote and uplift the need for diversity in the outdoors. While advertising for this event will be directed towards our members, we also hope to rope in participants within the whole university, including faculty and staff.
Outdoor Adventure Club, Ski and Snowboard Club, and Mountain Biking Club love No Man’s Land ‘s platform and values and hope to share them with students at SUNY Oneonta, and have a special appreciation of how amazing this opportunity is and how, given the pandemic, it will allow us to get content out to our members and keep people involved no matter where they are! This event will also serve as a special program. The LEAD program at Oneonta focuses on providing events that will teach students leadership skills, whether through lecture, discussion, Q&A, film showing, workshop and interactive activity. No Man’s Land Film Festival will provide a great opportunity for our students to witness powerful female leaders/activists in the outdoors.
After this screening, join us for a panel with a mix of students, faculty, and/or other female leaders in the outdoors who will answer questions and facilitate discussion about being female in the outdoors. This is event is free.
