Behavior Policy

No Man’s Land Film Festival is committed to creating an environment that facilitates an experience free of harassment, discrimination, and threatening, abusive, or disrespectful behavior for all attendees, panelists, and staff members. Prohibited behavior includes but is not limited to racism, sexism, sexual and physical violence, harassment and bullying, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism. This list is non-exhaustive.

While No Man’s Land will express no official opinion or position on the merit of such allegations of behavior, we reserve the right to limit, curtail, or terminate an attendee or panelist’s participation for any reason at our sole discretion and without refund upon receiving such notice of allegations. If you experience or become aware of any of these behaviors while at an event, please contact a staff member or call 911.

We believe it’s imperative that all participants, attendees, and staff members experience a sense of safety at our event. We are firmly committed to uplifting the voices of women and gender-nonconforming individuals.

We, therefore, ask that attendees, panelists, staff members, volunteers, audiences, press, industry, and beyond contribute to creating an environment that is welcoming to everybody by committing to the following:

  • Abstaining from hate speech of any kind.

  • Being mindful of the personal space and boundaries of others by not engaging in unwelcome sexual attention, harassment, stalking, and inappropriate physical contact of any kind.

  • Respecting moderators, speakers, artists, and audience members by refraining from sustained disruption of screenings, discussions, or other events.

  • Conscious of the power you hold by not engaging in abuse or intimidation related to race, gender, position, or economic status.
