The Association for Experiential Education will host the 52nd Annual International Experiential Education Conference this November 14-16 in Estes Park, CO. Hundreds of educators, students, practitioners and researchers from around the world share in the goals of promoting, defining, developing, and applying theories and practices of Experiential Education.

Attendees are empowered to collaborate with experts and innovators, develop lasting professional and personal connections, enrich their work or studies, and discover what's possible in the industry. The 2024 Conference will take learning to new heights with over 80 workshops, research sessions and panels, keynote events, networking sessions and more. AEE is proud to host these leading events for present and future experiential educators and practitioners from around the world.

The Minoritized Genders in Natural Resources (MGNR) Student Club at Colorado State University is hosting a No Man’s Land Film Festival screening on November 14, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. in the Lory Student Center Theater at Colorado State University. This event is sponsored by the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) and is a fundraiser for MGNR. The mission of MGNR is to unite individuals — especially those that identify as a member of a minoritized gender — by their personal and professional appreciation for natural resources and to create an inclusive and safe community for all individuals.

No Man’s Land Film Festival (NMLFF) is the first all-women and genderqueer adventure film festival and celebrates the full scope of athletes and adventurers by un-defining femininity in adventure, sport, conservation, and film since 2015. This screening will show films from the NMLFF Pride Program, which presents an array of stories featuring LGBTQ+ folks building more inclusive communities through their pursuit of outdoor recreation, including biking, rock climbing, and dog sledding.

General admission is $10 for Colorado State University Students, $15 for General Public, $10 for Seniors/Veterans/Military. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. See you there!

The Arizona Women’s Climbing Coalition (AZWCC) connects and empowers women and genderqueer people through rock climbing. Come celebrate your community, support local businesses, and enjoy watching women and genderqueer athletes from all across the globe un-define femininity in adventure, sport, conservation, and film! Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and showtime begins at 7:00 p.m. General admission is $25 for the first month and then $30 in two weeks leading up to the event.

It’s here! A benefit showing for the Salt Lake Climbers Alliance to support advocacy and stewardship of Wasatch climbing. The Stronghold Climbing Gym and the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Alpine Club are hosting the premier all-women + genderqueer adventure film festival, No Man’s Land Film Festival (NMLFF), which has celebrated the full scope of athletes and adventurers by un-defining femininity in adventure, sport, conservation, and film since 2015.

This screening will feature the best climbing films from the festival, including the film "Luminoso - The Search For Why," which stars artist and Los Angeles climber N.S. David on an adventure in Mexico's El Potrero Chico.  You will even spot Los Angeles climber Ernesto Magallanez wearing a Stronghold tshirt in the film, (way to represent!).

No Man's Land Film Festival seeks to break patterns and cycles of harm individually, collectively, and globally by upholding a platform for intersectional storytelling that inspires a radically inclusive, accessible, and equitable future. Through art, education, advocacy, and activism, they seek to challenge mainstream representation and work to dismantle the sexist, white-supremacist, cis-sexist, ableist, and other settler-colonial norms that cause harm to non-archetypal representation within the outdoor industry. VNTRbirds (venture birds) is a women-run adventure company based in the heart of the Rocky Mountains specializing in women-focused outdoor education and experiences.

VNTRbirds brings women-identifying and non-binary riders (who are comfortable in femme-centered spaces) together to build confidence and self-reliance in the outdoors through mountain biking, backcountry skiing/split boarding, and community meet-ups. VNTRbirds focuses on holistic learning that’s led by women and for women that encourages them to own their identities as outdoor athletes in a way that’s inclusive and fun.

We host fundraising events like this No Man's Land Film Festival for our scholarship programs: supporting women in the outdoors and furthering their outdoor education through mentorships and grants creating an environment to get more folks outside and in leadership roles! These ten short films, mostly made and directed by women, feature empowering and inspiring individuals who challenge themselves and societal perceptions.
