Pack & Paddle has its roots not only in the outdoors, but also in the vision for women accessing wild places. In 1974 Joan Williams founded Pack & Paddle as a means to get Girl Scouts on the water canoeing. Ever since then, they have given thousands of women their start on paddling and hiking trips in our unique South Louisiana ecosystem. The sign of the storefront reads: "Inspiring Horizons" and No Man’s Land Film Festival is proud to debut in Lafayette, LA for the very first time to inspire new horizons for women adventuring outdoors!
Come early starting at 5:30 p.m. to enjoy a "Wine Down Happy Hour" and meet other women that love getting out and enjoy a little bit of community! This film screening is compliments of Pack & Paddle, and will be a free event. Suggested donations will benefit Deuxieme Vie Creative Reuse Center - a local non-profit dedicated to environmentally conscious behavior by providing affordable materials and inspiring creative reuse in our community - the night of the festival. Please consider supporting their endeavors and we can’t wait to see you, Louisiana!
