Denver flagship faq

what is Flagship festival?

The purpose of this event is to celebrate women and the gender-expansive community in adventure film. Our highest priority for the NMLFF Flagship Festival is to cultivate an inclusive and safe space where members of this community can feel safe, welcome, and respected. With that in mind, we want to be clear that harassment of any kind (including behaviors such as verbal or physical abuse, racism, homophobia, transphobia, body-shaming, etc.) during any point of the event will not be tolerated and anyone exhibiting these behaviors will be promptly asked to leave without a refund for any ticket purchases made.

CAN MEN and those who don’t identify as female attend?

This event welcomes people of all gender identities. We especially encourage men and other gender-fluid individuals to participate in our festival weekend. Any person who aligns with our mission of gender equality is welcome to attend our event. We would love to see you there!

WILL THERE BE CLOSED-CAPTIONING AND ASL INTERPRETERS?

We offer closed captioning in English for all of our film programming. American Sign Language Interpreters are available for panel discussions as well as other spoken portions of this event.

Can I bring my dog?

We can’t answer this question without first saying we LOVE dogs. That said, because of the nature of this event, dogs are not allowed unless they are service animals. Please respect those who do need to bring their service animals with them by leaving your (adorable but non-service) fur friends at home.

Can I purchase tickets at the door?

We cannot guarantee that tickets will still be available at the door. We will be selling tickets at the door only if there is additional capacity. Cash or Venmo is accepted. We strongly recommend purchasing your ticket in advance to reserve your seat, as this event is likely to sell out.

What is included in my ticket purchase?

Asheville Festival pass holders will be granted access to evening programming starting at 5:00 p.m. If you have a Friday ticket and and planning on joining the Climber Meet-Up at Cultivate Climbing, please note that this meet up is free for Cultivate members + $5 for NMLFF ticket holders. Festival tickets include access to our Get Happy Hour, athlete panel discussion, evening film program, LVDY performance, door swag, and access to our giveaways and silent auction. View our full schedule of events, guest speaker page, and Asheville film program lineup for more detailed information.

What if I purchased a festival pass and can no longer attend?

Life happens and we are here to roll with the punches. We will be able to offer a full refund up until the Wednesday before the event date. Please contact hello@nomanslandfilmfestival.org for a refund request if you are no longer able to attend our event. You may be eligible for a full refund or be able to transfer your ticket.

What is your COVID-19 protocol?

Any announcements regarding COVID-19 will be made on our Asheville Flagship homepage, as well as on our social media channels. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at: hello@nomanslandfilmfestival.org.

IS the asheville virtual flagship films different from the in-person asheville flagship event?

Yes, the online version will offer the same film programming as our Asheville Flagship Programming.

virtual Flagship FAQ

What is virtual flagship?

After our first-ever Denver Flagship in 2020, we pivoted our platform in less than one month to bring our community a little slice of joy at the start of the pandemic. In 2021, we canceled our 6th Annual Film Festival and brought Flagship to you.

Virtual Flagship Festival is just like joining us for an event, except — you get to do it from home. While we know that this could never replace the true theatrical, in-person experience of a NMLFF event, we thought that this was the perfect way to gather the hearts and minds of our community together in solidarity. We are excited to continue offering access to our films and speakers to our community across the globe.

HOW CAN I REGISTER TO WATCH the FILMS + When can I watch?

You can purchase the Asheville film program on April 24th @ 9:00 p.m. EST. These films are only available for the 48 hours, which is exactly how long an Amazon movie rental is! Please plan accordingly if you are planning to tune into the films virtually. They are only available to rent starting at 9:00 p.m. EST on Friday, April 24, 2026.
