Denver flagship faq
what is Flagship festival?
The purpose of this event is to celebrate women and the gender-expansive community in adventure film. Our highest priority for the NMLFF Flagship Festival is to cultivate an inclusive and safe space where members of this community can feel safe, welcome, and respected. With that in mind, we want to be clear that harassment of any kind (including behaviors such as verbal or physical abuse, racism, homophobia, transphobia, body-shaming, etc.) during any point of the event will not be tolerated and anyone exhibiting these behaviors will be promptly asked to leave without a refund for any ticket purchases made.
CAN MEN and those who don’t identify as female attend?
This event welcomes people of all gender identities. We especially encourage men and other gender-fluid individuals to participate in our festival weekend. Any person who aligns with our mission of gender equality is welcome to attend our event. We would love to see you there!
Where in Denver is Flagship being held?
Our 11th Annual Flagship Festival will take place on Saturday, March 7th at the MCA Denver Holiday Theater located at 2644 W 32nd Ave, Denver, CO 80211. The Holiday Theater is a Denver metro hub for the arts focused on working with cultural and community-based organizations, and we are proud to partner with them for our fourth consecutive year.
Where Can I park?
You are welcome to utilize street parking. Residential street parking can additionally be found near the theater, but will be limited. Please be sure to give yourself ample time to find parking before doors open!
is the MCA Denver Holiday Theater ADA accessible?
Yes! The Holiday Theater is ADA accessible. There are two accessible restrooms located inside the theater and a row of seats in the middle of the theater is wheelchair accessible. All tickets are general admission, so we highly recommend you either email programs@mcadenver.org to request specific accommodations or arrive early to find a seat that will work best for you.
WILL THERE BE CLOSED-CAPTIONING AND ASL INTERPRETERS?
We offer closed captioning in English for all of our film programming. American Sign Language Interpreters are available for panel discussions as well as other spoken portions of this event.
Can I bring my dog?
We can’t answer this question without first saying we LOVE dogs. That said, because of the nature of this event, dogs are not allowed unless they are service animals. Please respect those who do need to bring their service animals with them by leaving your (adorable but non-service) fur friends at home.
Can I purchase tickets at the door?
We cannot guarantee that tickets will still be available at the door. We will be selling tickets at the door only if there is additional capacity. Cash or Venmo is accepted. We strongly recommend purchasing your ticket in advance to reserve your seat, as this event is likely to sell out.
What is included in my ticket purchase?
Festival pass holders grant access to all of our afternoon + evening films. This year, we are hosting an afternoon matinee, followed by an evening film program on Saturday, March 7th. Please note that a matinee ticket does not include access to the Happy Hour, panel discussion, evening film program, LVDY performance, swag bag, raffle ticket, giveaways, or Virtual Flagship. View our full schedule of events, guest speaker page, and Denver film program lineup for more detailed information.
What if I purchased a festival pass and can no longer attend?
Life happens and we are here to roll with the punches. We will be able to offer a full refund up until the Wednesday before the event date. Please contact hello@nomanslandfilmfestival.org for a refund request if you are no longer able to attend our event. You may be eligible for a full refund or be able to transfer your ticket.
What is your COVID-19 protocol?
Any announcements regarding COVID-19 will be made on our Denver Flagship homepage, as well as on our social media channels. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at: hello@nomanslandfilmfestival.org.
Are your virtual flagship films different from Denver flagship?
Our Virtual Flagship Festival offers the same film programming as our Denver Flagship Programming, as well as 3 additional feature-length documentaries and a live recording of our panel discussion(s). Please note that because our discussions require light editing, they will not be available until the following week.
virtual Flagship FAQ
What is virtual flagship?
After our first-ever Dever Flagship in 2020, we pivoted our platform in less than one month to bring our community a little slice of joy at the start of the pandemic. In 2021, we canceled our 6th Annual Film Festival and brought Flagship to you.
Virtual Flagship Festival is just like joining us for an event, except — you get to do it from home. While we know that this could never replace the true theatrical, in-person experience of a NMLFF event, we thought that this was the perfect way to gather the hearts and minds of our community together in solidarity. We are excited to continue offering access to our films and speakers to our community across the globe.
HOW CAN I REGISTER TO WATCH the FILMS + When can I watch?
