We also delve into Pia's past as a competition climber and discover unsettling things about the competitive climbing scene.
For #internationalwomensday we bring to you Not Just a Boys’ Club, a 4-part video series presented by The B.I.G Initiative and The North Face, in collaboration with Mate Libre, that presents 9 different women who currently work in the climbing industry.
The purpose of the series is to highlight some of the women who currently play important roles within the industry and present some of the challenges they’ve faced throughout their careers with the hopes of inspiring the community as a whole to reexamine the ways in which gender can affect opportunities.

For Deaf climber Sonya Wilson, communication and community is of vital importance. Elevated is a non-verbal film sharing Sonya’s experience as a Deaf woman and outdoor advocate working to bridge the gap between the Deaf community and the outdoor industry, one crag at a time.
