Eight years ago, renowned Australian Aboriginal artist Regina Pilawuk Wilson was introduced to filmmaker, Cassie De Colling and their years-long friendship began.
Regina invited Cassie to travel with her across the country and the globe, to capture both the significant and everyday moments of her life. From the Australian outback to prominent galleries in Washington D.C, MADE IT WITH MY HANDS is a glimpse into the relationship between Australian Indigenous artists and the blossoming contemporary art scene.
MADE IT WITH MY HANDS invites viewers to sit amidst the threads of Regina’s artwork. She is regarded as one of Australia’s leading Indigenous artists, and is the founder of the Peppimenarti community - the permanent settlement for the Ngan’gikurrungurr people in the Daly River Region since 1973. The film is a look into Regina’s friendships, traditional knowledge, and contemporary Indigenous culture.

Rock climbing’s popularity is soaring. New climbing areas and routes are needed to make way for the next generation of climbers. But who will be creating these new areas? 99% of the climbing routes in Texas have been established by cis white males. But now, a new generation of route developers is opening up new areas to make climbing more Just, Equitable, Diverse and Inclusive (J.E.D.I). This film follows Bree Jameson, an avid outdoorswoman, twin mom, and a fierce advocate for social justice and gender equity. Bree finds the courage to embrace the discomfort of this new challenge as she becomes the first Black woman in Texas history to develop a rock climbing route.

A joint venture between endurance rider Lael Wilcox and komoot, it was clear from the first rally in 2021 that we were onto something special. The three bikepacking adventures we’ve run so far have turned out better than we could’ve imagined, and we’re not stopping here. Join us in 2023 for rallies across Spanish islands, dramatic Slovenian landscapes and sunny Arizona in the US.

In 2020, Chloe Maxmin, a 28-year-old climate activist, became the youngest woman elected to the state senate in Maine history. Chloe and her campaign manager, Canyon Woodward, rewrote the strategy for progressive success in rural America and won two campaigns in red districts where they were expected to lose. Rural Runners follows Chloe and Canyon on the campaign trail alongside Canyon’s burgeoning rise as a champion ultra-distance runner. Their approach rehumanizes our deeply divided political system, offering hope and a path toward a healthier democracy.

Baker and British Columbia wilderness in search of fresh powder and ripping ladies. The girls showcase their creativity and humor throughout the film to portray their love for filming and skiing. With a vlog/documentary style, the film feels raw and enables the viewer to feel immersed in the process of making a ski film. The two girls have a refreshing new take on filming and storytelling that emphasizes the people and relationships formed in the backcountry.

It takes the first 5-6 miles for the “bird’s nest” in Erin McGrady’s head to unravel. And then, putting one foot in front of the other, the photographer and writer work to create and celebrate safe spaces for others in the queer community. Together, with her wife Caroline Whatley, in spite of all they are up against as queer women in the South, they turn their attention toward the joy they get from traveling and creating community.

Hanna Scott, one of Canada's top Female surfers, and her friends Tatum Monod and Sara Taylor, set out by boat to a remote location outside of Hanna's home town Tofino, BC to explore the rugged wilderness in search of surf and escape. We experience the journey alongside the women as they playfully navigate the frigid waters and rugged conditions, in pursuit of the joy that lies on the other side of discomfort.
