Flash Foxy is a radical NYC-based organization that "celebrates badass climber women everywhere." This year's Women’s Climbing Festival will bring together and celebrate our growing community of badass women climbers. The festival will take place in Bishop, California. Nestled in the beautiful Owens River Valley in the Eastern Sierras, Bishop not only offers world-class bouldering but also provides hundreds of sport and trad routes nearby. The Intermountain Student Outdoor Leadership Symposium (ISOLS) is a 2-day conference-style event for students interested in outdoor leadership. Through discussions, clinics, and workshops participants will gain valuable insight into outdoor leadership, practice new technical skills, and experience diverse forms of networking. This year’s conference will host a networking mixer, a roundtable discussion with local leaders in the outdoors, a formal presentation from our keynote speaker, and a bouldering competition at the University of Utah climbing facility. This will be a unique opportunity for students throughout the intermountain region to meet, mingle, and learn from one another. Any student with a passion for the outdoor leadership is encouraged to join! Tickets are free for those attending ISOLS, general public tickets will be $5.
Indiana University Outdoor Adventures (IUOA) prides itself on working to make the outdoor realm a more inclusive, diverse place. At the IUOA Takes Over Late Nite event, our organization is thrilled to be hosting No Man's Land Film Festival to show that the outdoors is open to everyone, regardless of gender, ability, sexual orientation, religion, or race. It is our jobs as outdoor stewards to cultivate an open, accessible environment for everyone. No Man's Land will be the final event as part of Outdoor Women's Fest, a collaboration of community partners in Central Oregon that will feature outdoor activities (rock climbing, mountain biking, skiing) as well as networking and relationship building opportunities in a variety of venues. The questionnaire also found that six out of every ten women believed men’s interest in outdoor activities are taken more seriously than women’s. Partnering with Fairfield Theatre Company, we at No Man’s Land Film Festival, the country’s only female-focused adventure film festival, aim to change that. The rest of the weekend will be filled with all women clinics and workshops, professional athlete clinics/meet-ups, a women’s climbing competition, food, beer, and lots of partying to celebrate all the amazing women in adventure sports. The conference provides opportunity to develop skills through workshops and networking with other emerging professionals. Join the Climbing Association of Southern Arizona (CASA) at The Loft Cinema for a screening of climbing and other vertical sport films featuring female adventure athletes. No Man’s Land Film Festival will debut for the first time in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc! We are excited to bring you a jam-packed program of the GRIT&ROCK Festival celebrating and redefining alpine feminine. In partnership with GRIT&ROCK, a non-profit behind the largest expedition grant focused exclusively on women, we bring you a selection of the very best short films highlighting women in adventure.
Over the two days, the festival’s program will feature numerous alpine clinics led by female guides where participants will be able to hone their skills and meet new climbing partners. Our film program will be screened at Salle Bicentenaire at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 9th and will include a brief discussion and a social gathering afterward. The festival will culminate with the awards ceremony for the GRIT&ROCK FIRST ASCENT grant with highlight conversations with prominent female alpinists, celebration of 2017 expeditions and announcement of 2018 award laureates. The program will be screened at Salle Bicentenaire. The gala event will be held at Blue Ice HQ, 336 Route du Nant Jorland, 74310 Les Houches, France. The Syracuse University Outing Club is proud to present it's first ever screening of No Man's Land Film Festival! Celebrate women in the outdoors by joining us for an evening of discussion and entertainment. Come and be inspired by women who crush, meet like-minded community members, and have a damn good time. We'll have a panel discussion from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., films to follow afterward!
This event is a fundraiser for Vera House, which provides local services and programs to end domestic and sexual abuse, as well as Outdoor Alliance, which lobbies nationally to protect outdoor recreation and America’s public lands on behalf of outdoor enthusiasts. Tickets are $5 and children 12 and under are free.

Minnesota, we're back! This time, Carleton College is hosting No Man's Land Film Festival. This film screening is co-sponsored by CANOE and SUMO. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the Carleton student body as well as the greater public. An open discussion for students on inclusivity in the outdoors industry will be hosted before the screening at 6:30 p.m. in CANOE House - 205 College St. Join us this January!
